Ken Barnes is a sculptor originally from the midwest but now ensconced in the green of Seattle.
I got interested in stone sculpture because I wanted a particular sculpture for my house that I couldn't find at any gallery. Plus, I thought it would impress an artsy girlfriend (fail). I expected to make a single piece. Stone dust must be addicting, because I'm still at it a couple decades later.
Art changes lives - for both the maker and the viewer. When you bring a piece of art into your life it changes the way that you experience the world. No lightning bolts here, just a small token for the angel of happiness.
